We know visiting a health service can be daunting, but rest assured, our friendly team at NRG-Health is here to help. General Questions

Do I need a doctor's referral?

No, all our healthcare services can be assessed and treated without referral by a doctor. However most health insurers require a doctor’s referral before they authorise cover of fees, some only require a phone call.

Do you bulk bill?

No, we don’t bulk bill.

All patients requiring our services of Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology and Remedial Therapy, will pay in full.

All patients referred to us by a General Practitioner for the assistance in Team Care Arrangements (TCAs) via an Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC) or Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan, will pay in full and a Medicare rebate will be transferred directly over into their account during the settlement of payment.

What do I need to bring to my appointment?

Be prepared to provide your previous medical or surgical history, your current list of medications and any relevant scans or MRI and medical reports to your initial appointment.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Wear appropriate clothing including footwear for your appointment. Physiotherapy and Remedial Massage may require you to disrobe some or all clothing (except undergarments) for a particular part of your body to be worked on as this may require the use of oils.

Active-wear is required if you are participating in our exercise classes or if having either a functional Assessment or your consultation is with the Exercise Physiologist.

How do I know if my insurance covers Healthcare services?

We recommend that you confirm your insurance coverage with your health insurance company. However, we can check your health insurance card to determine if outpatient extra health services are covered under your plan.

Do you treat DVA (Department of Veteran's Affairs) and NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) clients?

Yes, DVA and NDIS clients are welcome.

The NDIS provides funding to eligible people with disability to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and an improved quality of life through healthcare providers.

Do you offer functional evaluations for employers?

Yes, we offer the following evaluation services:

  • Pre-employment evaluation is of an individual’s physical capacity to safely perform the demands of a certain job requirement. They provide maximum benefit when based on the specific physical requirements of an applicant’s proposed role.
  • Functional capacity evaluation differ from pre-employment functionals as they are designed to assess an individual’s capacity for work post-injury. These evaluations match the employee’s physical abilities to the critical demands of the job requirements and can assist in the development of an employee’s recovery and/or return to work plans.
  • Musculoskeletal evaluation examines an individual body structure and function, gathering information on gait, posture, joint range of motion, muscle activation, and how well we coordinate movement patterns.

Other Information

Cancellation Policy

Please understand and respect that Natural Revolution Group – N.R.G. Pty Ltd has a cancellation policy that requires 24 hours notice prior to your appointment. The more notice the better.

If the need arises to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact us asap.

Breaching our cancellation policy or not giving notice will incur the full fee for the allocated appointment and you may lose future appointments that are previously booked if a pattern of cancellations is detected.

Reduce the risk of infectious diseases

To reduce the risk and the spread of infectious diseases, we ask that all our clients follow a few simple house rules on hygiene.

  • Ensure your hands are clean – We have plenty of cleaning stations around the clinic.
  • Ensure your body is clean – Please shower, especially if you’re having an appointment that requires contact with the skin (Remedial Massage and Physiotherapy.
  • Wear appropriate underwear for all appointments, especially for an appointment that requires the removal of clothing so that contact with the skin can be made and correct draping techniques can be applied (Remedial Massage and Physiotherapy.
  • Wear a face mask if you are exhibiting signs or symptoms of infection or illness – Face masks are available at reception if you require one.
  • Stay at home if you are unwell – Do be sure to contact us to reschedule your appointment.
  • Allow enough time to overcome your illness before returning for an appointment.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapists are experts in the structure and function of the human body.
They critically assess and evaluate musculoskeletal conditions by identifying the causes and factors contributing to imbalance and pain.
Physiotherapists are involved in the assessment, planning and management of patient care. They assist in treating a broad range of health conditions including work or sports injuries, musculoskeletal disorders and chronic health conditions.

Remedial Massage

Remedial therapists are specialists in identifying physical and bio-mechanical issues within the body.
They have extensive training in anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology, understanding the structure and function of the human body.
Remedial techniques can incorporate deep tissue massage, dry needling, trigger point therapy, joint mobilisation, stretching and strengthening exercises.

Exercise Physiology

Exercise physiologists specialise in clinical exercise interventions for people at risk of developing or have existing medical conditions and injuries.
They aim to prevent or manage acute, sub-acute or chronic disease or injury and assist in restoring one’s optimal physical function, health or wellness with exercise intervention.
Services include behavioural coaching, health education, exercise testing,
athletic performance reviews and physical rehabilitation.

Education
Education is a gradual process that facilitates learning or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and values through study or imparting the knowledge by way of instructions or practical procedures. 
Simply stated, “education is the path to progress.” 
The team at NRG-Health can conduct various educational sessions on healthcare modalities, self-care techniques and remedial therapy to equip individuals with the knowledge and skillset to assist the community or sporting club.    
Early Intervention

Early childhood intervention is a support and educational system for very young children who may have a developmental or a learning delay.

Early Intervention is the term used to describe the services and support that are available to babies and young children with developmental delays and disabilities and their families. May include speech therapy, physical therapy, and other types of services based on the needs of the child and family.
